If you want some other outdoor activity it is possible to visit the Los Quetzales National Park and the Cerro de la Muerte, which belong to Los Santos Forest Reserve.
Cerro Nara Refuge is part of a conservation association that seeks to protect the land to keep it natural and preserve the primary forest and its biodiversity. This is maintained on its own and travelers can stay here.
If there is a place that has a lot of beauty is San Gerardo de Dota. The place, although not very well known, is visited by its tranquility and the sighting of birds of the region. It is also very close to Los Quetzales National Park, a sanctuary for the best and most colorful birds.
Finally, the National Park Chirripó where is the hill with the same name and the highest of the country. It is full of flora and fauna along its path, the main action of tourists: hiking to the top of the mountain.
