ROUTE OF PORT BEACHES
MANZANILLO – CALDERA PORT – JACÓ – UVITA
Keep in mind that in Costa Rica there are places with the same names, but in different places, as is the case of Playa Manzanillo in Puntarenas, a private beach in the area where you will find peace and tranquility.
Afterwards, you can visit Playa Blanca before taking the ferry that will take you on a trip across the sea to Chomes, Chacarita, Punta Arenas, Puerto Caldera and Playa Guacalillo, all this you can visit once you land.
From Playa Guacalillo to the Carara National Park it is approximately one hour drive.
This Park has the only transition forest of the Central Pacific, which translates into diversity of flora and fauna, where dry and humid species of the forests converge. In addition, it is the first national park to have a universal access trail, where the visitor can live the experience of being inside the forest and is ideal for bird watching.
Tárcoles is a place to visit, here, from the bridge you can see this river full of crocodiles.
Playa Agujas and Playa Mantas will be on the way to Playa Herradura, a tourist destination due to the booming canopy and national parks near the beach.
Right next to Playa Herradura is Jacó, world famous for its festive atmosphere, relaxed attitude, a lively nightlife and water activities.
Followed by Playa Jacó is Playa Hermosa. Remember that in Costa Rica there are two Playa Hermosa, of which we speak in this route is located in Puntarenas and is one of the paradises of international surfing, however, currents are very strong and it is not recommended to swim here.

To finish in the best way, we give you our last two recommendations in the Marino Ballena National Park, which bears its name due to the humpback whales that migrate to the region between August and November and from December to April, so it is a perfect place for whale watching.
When the tide is low, you can walk around Punta Uvita, which forms the tail of the whale. Being one of the most important and unusual formations of the earth, the whale tail of Punta Uvita is a must for travelers.
